Where to stay in Nashville

One of the great things about Nashville is that Uber and Lyfts are easily available and affordable all over the city. Downtown Nashville actually spreads much farther than the Honky Tonks on Broadway. Locals live within 5 miles from Broadway and still consider themselves to live “downtown”. There are many more neighborhoods and areas to stay in Nashville beyond that famous strip of bars.

Downtown Nashville and The Gulch

Downtown and The Gulch are probably the most popular areas to stay when visiting Nashville but it will also be the most expensive. If you can find housing nearby within your budget, the Gulch is a great area to stay because you will be walkable to many bars and restaurants. Depending on your exact location, Broadway will be either a short walk or drive away.

Midtown Nashville

Midtown is another great area to stay because there are many popular bars and restaurants in this area. This is also the best place to stay if you are visiting Vanderbilt for any reason. You will still be a short drive to downtown if you stay in the midtown area.

Germantown

Germantown is slightly North of The Gulch and is a great area to stay in Nashville. It is walkable to downtown Nashville and there are tons of great local bars and restaurants in the area!

12 South

12 South is a popular shopping area close to downtown Nashville. There are multiple bars, restaurants and boutiques walkable in this area and a short drive to downtown.

West Nashville

West Nashville, also known as The Nations, is slightly farther from the downtown area but is where many locals live and is about a ten minute drive to Broadway.
