We did this full day private jeep safari tour with Gozo Pride and couldn’t have asked for a better experience on the island. Between the jeep, Mike (our guide) and the views around the island, it was truly the perfect day! As travel bloggers, we are typically the ones leading friends or ourselves around new destinations. It was so relaxing to be taken on this tour and not have to think about the plan at all! Mike simply knew all of the best places to take us and was incredibly knowledgeable about the island. On this Gozo tour, relax and let the driver handle the navigating while you take in the views from the open-air back of a jeep.

Jeep Group tour
The group jeep tour is the perfect Gozo day trip if you are traveling a bit more on a budget and still want to experience all that Gozo has to offer in the open-air jeep! You will be grouped with up to 6 people in the jeep and the tour guide will stick to a slightly stricter schedule since there are multiple people’s experiences to take into consideration.
Jeep Private tour
The private tour option is more expensive than the group tour but it gives you complete flexibility to explore the island at your own pace. You do not need to worry about waiting or stopping for other travelers that may not be on the same wavelength as you. It also gives you the ability to stay at a stop longer if you want to!
We definitely recommend this option if you are a group larger than 2 or want more space and privacy on the tour.

What to Expect on a Gozo Pride Land Tour
Transportation from your accommodation to the Cirkewwa Port
We stayed near Valletta, Malta and a bus picked us up one block from our housing. The van was air-conditioned and comfortable for the hour-long ride to the port. We did pick up other passengers along the way which made the drive take slightly longer.
Round trip private boat to Gozo with a view of the Blue Lagoon if weather permits
Once we arrived at the port, there was a ferry waiting to take us from mainland Malta to the island of Gozo. Take in the beautiful water views on this approximately 20-minute ferry ride. Once we arrived on Gozo by boat, the jeeps and quads were waiting and ready to take us on the tour!
Weather depending, you will also stop to see the Blue Lagoon on your ferry ride. Our group stopped on our way back to mainland Malta at the end of the day. Either way, hopefully you will get the chance to see the rocks on Comino and the Blue Lagoon if the weather allows it!
Lunch next to St. John Baptist Church
After a morning exploring Gozo, you will stop for lunch in Xewkija. The menu is preset with a simple but delicious pasta and chicken dish. Also, since the tour guide was doing the driving, there was some wine to go with lunch. The meal topped off with tasty gelato before getting back to exploring.
